Yesterday in year 6 we had a lot of fun using a program called Makey Makey. Makey Makey is an invention kit that allows the students to use any object that is a conductor as a button, such as oranges, potatoes, foil and water, and works an electrical circuit. Fortunately during their science specialist time, the students have been looking at electrical circuits and this was a great way to tie into that concept. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is something we are trying to incorporate more into our year 6 curriculum and this was a great start!
